ABOUT US

ZotCon is a one-day anime convention at the University of California, Irvine! From cosplay competitions to Japanese maid cafes, ZotCon hopes to bring an unforgettable experience to all its attendees.

Founded in 2018, ZotCon was created by students to spread their love of Japanese culture. Initially, ZotCon was strictly student-run, but thanks to the founders’ hard work, ZotCon reached an audience outside of UCI. As a result, ZotCon is now organized by students, alumni, and the surrounding community to spread anime and Japanese pop culture to Orange County.

Do note that ZotCon is still primarily a student-run event. Most of ZotCon’s staff and volunteers are UCI students; however, we now accept alumni and non-students to participate. If you’re interested in participating, contact us or apply to volunteer!

We at ZotCon thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.
It is thanks to readers like you that ZotCon can flourish!
